Since the unfortunate demise of the Oxfordshire 2050 Plan, we have set up the Local Nature Partnership and are actively supporting the creation of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

- Local Nature Partnership set up and sub-groups established covering Nature Finance and Biodiversity Net Gain.
- Members of OxEB are key members of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy sub-group on Data & Evidence, Chair the Engagement & Communications group, Prioritisation, and Steering Group.

- Set up a pragmatic and comprehensive system for monitoring the LNRS.
- Call for an Oxfordshire Land Use Strategy.
Green Infrastructure
Ambition
- Promote understanding of Green Infrastructure on its widest form and the benefits this provides to Oxfordshire's economy, its nature and people's health & wellbeing.
- Building wider support for Green Infrastructure Strategy (and related issues e.g. Nature Recovery Networks).
- A Green Infrastructure Strategy & Accessible Natural Green Space Action Plan. To include measures to ensure Oxfordshire meets the Government agreed Accessible Natural Green Space Standards. The first programme of work should be to put in place measures, support and partnerships to provide these basic requirements for public health and wellbeing.
Advocacy for the Natural Environment
The Oxfordshire Environment Board aims to inform and influence decision-makers across Oxfordshire to ensure the natural environment is firmly on the agenda and taken fully info account in all relevant strategic and operational plans.

- To engage with the Future Oxfordshire Partnership to help ensure that the environment is embedded into its future activities. Working with the Future Oxfordshire Partnership gives Oxfordshire organisations' the opportunity to strengthen its support for climate action. We have requested a position for OxEB as a voting member of the Future Oxfordshire Partnership.
- To help ensure plans and development in Oxfordshire puts environment at their heart. Oxfordshire should be proactive in future thinking and climate change action. We need protection and improvement of the environment to be recognised as a core objective.
